What can one say about a lens that cost $89 (amazon). You can’t spend $89 for a lens and expect that much from it. So going into I had very low exceptions, and for the most part the lens lived up to my expectations. The images are soft, and lack contrast and there is no auto-focus. As to be expection with a F8 lens you need a bright day and/or hi iso to get decent shots.
I had fun with the lens, I took it on a trip to Ft. Bragg, but ended up mostly using my trusted Nikkor 18-200 since I was ended up mostly taking landscape shots. Will play with the Opteka some more and provide a more detailed review. After the holidays.
